The Story of Pehnara – Culture in Every Stitch
          Pehnara
Woven with love, inspired by a mother’s heart

What began as a mother’s simple wish to dress her daughter in comfortable, beautiful ethnic wear has become a brand that celebrates care, craftsmanship, and culture. Pehnara is born from the hands and heart of Himanshi Saini — a homemaker who turned a small, loving idea into a boutique label for little girls and women who treasure tradition and comfort.

“Every stitch is chosen with a mother’s eye — gentle on the skin, elegant in design, and true to our culture.”
From a Mother’s Concern to a Brand with a Heart
Himanshi’s journey started in a cozy home where celebrations meant dressing her daughter in bright ethnic clothes. But she noticed that many dresses, while pretty, were rough to the touch, poorly finished, or ill-fitting for playful children. Frustrated but determined, she set out to design garments that combined traditional beauty with gentle comfort.
She traveled through Delhi’s famed fabric markets, hand-selecting Banarasi weaves, soft linings and delicate trims. Designs were tested on her daughter for fit and feel—only outfits that passed the comfort test were given a Pehnara label.
“If it isn’t soft on her skin, it isn’t right for us.” — Himanshi Saini, Founder
